Covered services
Typical services that are covered by PerformCare include:
- Psychiatric outpatient services
Planned, regularly scheduled visits to a doctor, counselor, or therapist to talk about mental health issues.
- Psychiatric partial hospitalization programs
Planned, regularly scheduled visits to a doctor, counselor, or therapist to talk about mental health issues.
- Psychiatric hospitalization
The most intensive services available. Hospitalization usually occurs when an adult or child is at risk of harming themselves or others, when medications need close and continual monitoring, or when other community services have not been successful.
- Crisis intervention services
Services that are available any time of the day or night to help in a crisis. These services keep the at-risk individual safe, and treat the problem until the crisis has passed. Services can be provided by telephone or in person at almost any location within the community.
- Outpatient drug and alcohol services
Provided in the community to help a person with an alcohol or other drug problem. Services may include evaluation and/or individual or group therapy.
- Drug and alcohol detoxification and rehabilitation and halfway house services
These services help an individual to stop using drugs and alcohol. Such services may or may not be performed in a hospital, and may or may not include overnight stays.
- Family-based mental health services
Treatment services provided in the home for children, adolescents, and their families.
- Residential treatment for mental illnesses
Places where children and adolescents under the age of 21 live while they receive treatment.
